Hi everyone,

after only reading passively up to now, I'm ready to post my first project on craftster. Yay.
It's a cross stitch of one my favorite songs at the moment: This Is War by 30 Seconds To Mars. It originally was supposed to be something utterly different. I wanted to stitch "Make Tea Not War" for my kitchen and I just finished the word war, when I was listening to the track. So I changed my mind and made this instead.  Cheesy
That's why I never really made a pattern for it and just put everything directly on the canvas. So it got lot's of flaws, the spacing between the words is messed up and it's not really good composed. But I still like it a lot, even that it is a little uneven. What do you think?!

Never heard of the song or group, but I really like your project! Looks great. Clever way to frame it, too. Smiley

Thank you! I like the look of fringed edges and didn't want to hide them.

Oh my goodness! That is great! My eyes would have gone crossed just stitching it up!

That's such an awesome idea!  Both of those fonts you used are sweet, where'd you get them?

I love the style of this one, like you might refer to it for advice! Great framing too.

Thanks! Smiley

The red font is from this book: Jutta Lammer- Beautiful Old Alphabets ( http://www.amazon.com/Beautiful-Old-Alphabets-Designs-Stiches/dp/0806955341/ref=ntt_at_ep_dpt_9 ) It's an amazing old school font collection. It's out of print, but I just got a used German copy from a library.

The other, small one I kind of copied from here : http://gingeranyhow.com/texts/text10.html    It is a very basic font, so I copied the first some letters and the others I added how I thought they should look like. Smiley

ooo i love this!  i'm a huge fan of black, white and red together and I love the red font is set off with the simple black font in the background.
