I have some awful old beat-up chucks that I was going to cover with (hot pink!!) duct tape when my mother pointed out that it would be really hot and sweaty. Now I'm wondering whether the same would be true for painted shoes. Is paint at all "breathable"? It doesn't seem like it would be but you never know. Also, does it matter whether you use plain acrylic or fabric paint?
Thanks in advance!

I'm looking for Simplicity 6340 (the 1970's sailor dress). PM me if you've got a copy to swop or sell! Cheesy
