Since most of you are in the Northern Hemisphere, and a season ahead of us Southy's, I was wondering what the new motifs for girls shirts are.  My little one is 18m/o and I am going to get started on her shirts for our summer.  I have already thought about
but I was wondering what are the new "in" things to put on.  I can do embroidery, iron on transfers, applique, all the standard techniques.

I'm not from the northern hemisphere, I'm not a fashion designer, and it's a long time since you posted this question, but anyway...

How about summer fruit motifs, like strawberries, watermelon slices, cherries, grape bunches?  Tropical or fantastical flowers? Icecream cones, paddlepops, milkshakes, candy floss? Seashells, seahorses, starfish, angelfish... butterflies, dragonflies, or birds like flying gulls, swallows, colourful finches, with clouds, or whimsical curly twigs and leaves? Or Indian elephants with paisley and jewel patterns... I can imagine these things, but I'm not so good at describing them! Maybe you could go outside the square of typical "girl" images and have cars ("love bug" VW beetles?), bicycles, lizards (rainbow chameleons?), guitars, or a tent (camping)!

Just some ideas  Smiley

Thanks for your help, I have just started buying her summer t shirts.  I love the idea of the chameleon.  You had some great suggestions.  Better get cracking I suppose.
