Hi there, I'm looking for anyone in the bristol area who would like to start up or is already involved in a craft group. I do hand sewing (as am saving for the machine of my dreams!!) embroidery etc. and would love to meet some like minded funky young things! I'm not very good yet, but enthusiastic and have lots of ideas. Anyone interested??

I live in Bristol, I'm not personally involved in any crafty groups (although I'd like to be), but I'm sure I heard there's a stitch n bitch somewhere in stokes croft on sundays... maybe cafe kino I think? I don't remember! And another at the tobacco factory? And there's crafty stuff at the Folk House on park street that I keep meaning to check out...
I like general sewing/drawing on things...

Did you manage to find any crafty meet ups? I'm new to Brizzle and here rumours but haven't found a crafty meet up yet.

I haven't done any yet but there's a shop by the arches on Gloucester Road (Cox and Baloney's vintage I think it's called) and they have a sign outside advertising craft workshops (knitting, upholstery etc) . I think there's also stuff at Paper Village in Bedminster, so I hear.
Otherwise, lets start one! Cheesy

there is a quite new meet-up group that meet's once a month in the folkhouse.

our next meeting is Monday Dec. 12th - look for 'Coffee & Craft' on facebook.

so far there is only a handful of us, but we are growing and committed to having regular crafty/foodie breaks and socials.
