I realized I still don't have a niche for what I want to do with art. Sure I like to paint. When I went to the museum and saw the contemporary art, I started doubting myself as a professional artist. So I'm moving forward. Going to spend more time making high quality paintings. My last painting turned out better than I imagined, possibly because I spent so much time on it. Now I have to go back and fix all the other ones I just tried to whip up for the sake of having some art.

I'd say you're a phenomenal artist, and shouldn't doubt yourself one bit! And honestly I wouldn't alter your past paintings, and use them as a timeline to go forward and see how far you've pushed/challenged yourself as a painter.

It's too late for not altering... I spent a few hours last night updating some of the art in my living room and dining room.... I might get rid of the ones in the dining room since I have such a problem looking at them now... My boyfriend also wants me to update the paintings I recently made for him to be up to the same standard as this one...

Thanks. Smiley

This is awesome!  Do not doubt your talent!  It is normal to look back on older works and not like them as much, every painting that you do develops your skills.  You will just get better and better.

Great work! Love the content as well. I say, don't compare yourself to what's out there now in the museums. I love all kinds of work, but I like to create my own - whatever makes you happy.
