I wish I could furnish my entire wardrobe with these pretty hangers! Unfortunately I only have 2 for now - crocheted last night, with some bamboo tape, I made these covers to decorate to 2 vintage wooden hangers.  The covers were made in one piece using a single crochet stitch, I then threaded the metal hook through the middle of the piece of crochet work and sewed up the bottom and sides.

I have a pile of crochet flowers lying about right now, so I sewed one on to each for decoration

has anyone ever tried covering cheap plastic hangers with any success?

blogged at http://northernhi-lights.blogspot.com/2010/08/hooked-hangers.html for further pattern details
