I was going to hit the pages with a corner rounding punch, but mine is lame and I didn't want to fight with it, so the heck with that. ...

Use a sanding block or nail file. It will give the paper a slightly fuzzy edge but I accept that it contributes to the hand made look.

I've got my second nightmare completed! It's 11 pages long though and I don't want to be a total thread hog! I'll just share the first three pages:

If you want to see the whole sequence it's up on my Flickr in my Sketchbook Project set: http://www.flickr.com/photos/danniquee/sets/72157624637113572/

It's been sort of a pain using the Moleskine paper to do this since none of the supplies I have seem to work overly well on it. I'm hoping next year I end up with one of the books that is sewn together rather then the one that is multiple signatures bound with glue so I can re-bind it.  Roll Eyes

I have about 18 spreads left to go and plan to finish up quite a few of them today! I'm heading into my third and final nightmare and the only one that will be about things that actually give me nightmares aside from that damn falling dream. (I'm honestly not afraid of birds, or trees or Baba Yaga)  Smiley

Ffrogg, CONGRATULATIONS!!

Fullmoon: *slap* (I hated to do that, but hopefully it helps.  Cheesy)

DanniQuee, I love the way your Nightmare book tells a story so effectively without words.

I'm hoping to finish up today. I will also try to put up a few pictures.

If I do send my book (which I am still debating about, honestly - I know that was the entire purpose of this project but I seriously don't know if I can part with it, especially since I'm not very satisfied with it) there will be quite a few pages that are only painted backgrounds.  Which annoys me so much.  But two deaths in the family and an extreme round with the flu haven't left much time or energy for working on my book.

Danni - your sketches are AMAZING.  I am in awe.  Love it!

I'm in creative writing right now. I'm working on my sketchbook, I'm determined to get a lot done today. I wanna get all the sketches done by tomorrow night or Thursday morning by ssr. Then I'll use Thursday to ink and color everything and mail out Friday cuz the post office in my town is closed Saturday and idt I can go to the one in the next town just to mail this. But I'm actually a bit farther along than I thought so I should maybe be fine, so long as I stick to one story and then character art. I'm also thinking of hot gluing something over the top of the cover so it won't be as plain.

Yesterday, I thought - I'm not gonna send it in - it's unfinished and I know that I did most of it in the last 2 weeks.

Now I am determined to finish; if it's only 20 pages - so be it.

And, Fullmoon, I'm adding in a half-hour (and $20. more) to color-copy it at Kinkos before sending!

BethieB - I am thinking that it is very likely that I will have a couple of completely blank pages in my book as well (I don't even have the backgrounds done on some of them). I am thinking of writing something "witty" (ie dumb) about the pages symbolizing this or that in relation to my theme. Maybe, if you don't have too many pages you could do something similar?  (I am also absolutely stealing the idea of a couple of signature pages in the back! Smiley)

Hmm.  I didn't think of that DawnsTrees...I could probably make that work very well!  Thank you for the idea.

Three more days!

I hope everyone will be able to send. I have a few finishing touches to mine, and then I'm done. I tried to get pics today, but we are having some weather, and I need to get better light. Maybe tomorrow.

Work hard, everyone. We can do it!
