I also had a semi crazy thought for seeing the tour in Seattle... this is completely hush hush...

My boyfriend and I have been dating for 3 years, and have been talking a lot about "forever" and "the future" and "our life together"... I've been toying with the idea of proposing via my sketchbook!

I have ONE page left in my book (the theme is "Boys & girls") and doing a non-traditional proposal would be fitting. I was thinking of making a cute page that says "Will you marry me? Circle yes or no" and having a pen available when we look through it together.

I wish I had thought of this a while ago, and not A DAY before the book is due to be postmarked. Is this completely crazy?

I can just imagine a whole bunch of Craftsters waiting at the side watching eagerly as your BF flips through your book!!  Cheesy Cheesy I do hope you do it. I think it's a great idea.

prettyinpaisley, I think that is such a great idea. How romantic! Make sure you take a picture of that page to post, if you decide to do it. The rest of your pages are really great. I love how you worked your theme.

craftADDchick, the little squirrel is so cute.  Cheesy

Last day to work on things, everyone! Get them done!

Love those pages Racky! I feel like a lot of us should have the 'I shouldn't have waited until the last minute' page in our books. Cheesy

I definitely have one of those pages! It says, "I'm sorry I forgot you, sketchbook."
The extended deadline and the fact that there is no school today gives me an entire day to work on my sketchbook! Minus laundry and homework and cooking dinner, but those are optional, right?
So my sketchbook hopefully won't look so forgotten.
I am still intimidated by my cover, so I think I'm going to leave it plain.
I'm not really sure what to put on the first page, either, so maybe I will leave it blank, too.
nicoleburdsall, I love the clouds and the intense colors on your first page!

I just ran across this quote from Calvin & Hobbes and find it completely appropriate...

-You can't just turn on creativity like a faucet. You have to be in the right mood.
-What mood is that?
-Last-minute panic.

Dear beloved sketchbook that secretly I hate a little because my art takes forever,

I promise that you will be finished today. Please don't kill me. Just make sure you give me an allotted time slot for my honors art project, my swaps, and my own necessities, such as eating and showering...

Yours truly,
Fullmoon

My sketchbook is officially in the hands of the USPS! I used the APC and dropped it into the slot. I just realized that I dropped it into the bin labeled "stamped mail" instead of metered mail, but there's nothing I can do about that now! I was hoping to get a DC#, but it wasn't an available option. Hopefully, it makes it there safe and sound by the end of the week!
