okay, i absolutely love all the ideas i see on here. a couple months ago i kind of combined a couple messenger bag patterns and made my own, without any interior pockets or anything, just a big simple bag. i took pictures.

on the floor. kind of a vintage-y tropical canvas-y fabric i found half-price at joannes. i also stuck a lot of random pins on it.

the interior. lobsters!

me modeling it. (i'm not very good.)

it's got interfacing in it, the strongest i could find, but it's still pretty floppy.

next, today, in like an hour, i made a small simple purse. my friend would always just make random things on the spur of the moment. they weren't the most sturdy things, but they were really cute so i took a cue from her and tried it myself.

mainly just a piece of fabric folded over, right sides sewn together, and the top hemmed. i made two buttonholes on each side to slide a ribbon in so i could change the length whenever i wanted.

closeup of the fabric

me wearing it. (again, not the best model.)

Started a knitting blog.

They are very cool. Sometimes I make really quick prototype's. Just to see how the idea works and then start designing how to make the prototype even better.
