i was so proud of myself for thinking ahead, and putting a roast with a sauce into the crockpot before leaving for work in the morning. when i got home it smelled great. when i took the lid off though i realized the meat was still wrapped in a layer of plastic, shielding it from the sauce.

fortunatly, it didn't taste like plastic so we ate it with the sauce poured over and it was okay, just not what i was looking forward to.

Well, people pay good money for "sous vide" cooking in fancy restaurant. You may have inadvertently developed the home version of it.  Grin
