For the One Tiny Sea Creature Thing swap, I made my partner PearliePie a deep sea creature - the Angler Fish!

This fish lures its prey close by dangling (from its forehead) a little luminescent (glowing) blobby lure. When the prey gets close enough, NOM NOM NOM.   Cheesy

But ... not only does this creature's blobby glow, so do his eyes and teeth!

Eeek!   Shocked  Scary!

He's made out of a stretchy black velvet with shiny bits in it, from my own pattern (he's version #4, actually - the other 3 went back to the deep sea trenches, they were too scary to be seen by humans!). The eyes are safety eyes from Planet June - clear eyes, so you can put fabric behind them to make them any color you want!  Many sizes here:

(I have no affiliation with Planet June other than loving her patterns and tools!)

His blobby is a glow-in-the-dark rubber blowfish from Archie Mcphee. Smiley Very tempting to those hungry deep sea fish!  It's hung from a black pipe cleaner.

The eye backing and his teeth are a glow-in-the-dark fabric from a source that doesn't exist any longer. Sad

A few other views of Scary Mr Angler:

I had so much fun making him for Pearlie!!  But those teeth - oh, those wretched teeth!  Angry  I never could get them to sit straight. He needs a piscine orthodontist for sure!  Cheesy

FABULOUS!  I love all the glowing details and the fabric you chose is perfect!  Also, those crazy teeth give her an approachable quality that not many angler fish have.   Kiss
