I have been working on an under the sea themed baby mobile for the past month for a friend. I plan on posting instructions once I've finished it. I finally got the main piece done and the clam and starfish. I was working on a crab and going to add a seahorse to the other tentacle, but do you think I should add something to the center of the octopus?

Here's some pics of what I've completed so far.

How precious!  Once you add the crab and seahorse, it should be perfect.  I wouldn't worry about anything in the middle.    If you keep the middle clear, the mobile could also be used more easily for belly-time.

Also...and this is just because I'm weird that way....it might seem that the octopus is eating whatever is in the middle.   Like I said, I'm an odd-ball, but it will look great without the extra.

Yeah I was thinking it would look like it was eating the crab if I put it in the middle. My only problem is that the claws on the crab are gonna hang down a bit so wasn't sure how balance wise it was going to work.

What part of the crab are you hanging to the octopus?

It's going to hang from it's back and the claws hang down from the body.

It should look great, if you are worried about the claws hanging down, you could tack them to the crabs body.

Do you have any pictures of the crab? I do love the mobile... I might just have to make one.
