this dress used to be a tshirt that was too big for me. since i liked the shirt i decided to make it into something i could wear. and here is my dress. it took maybe an hour at the most to make. i hope it doesn't show... (sorry for the bad pictures)

let me know what you think. and - if you need better pics just let me know  Smiley

What a good idea!  And that would probably take me longer than an hour, so you should feel proud.

That's awesome! I'm getting really into t-shirt-dresses- they're so nice and cool for the summer. Is there a strip of fabric at the bottom? I can't tell.

Yes!! Save the wales indeed!! I love that dress....If I wore it i'd get screamed at by my eco-unfriendly peers who are sick of me "going on". But I really love that dress. How did you do it? What about if you (me) had only short Ts?

lemonadelemonade - thanks! i do feel proud of myself. there's nothing wrong with taking a longer time though... it will probably turn out better in the end

bettypunk - thank you. i choose to save lots of animals, but everyone forgets about the whales so i figured i'd make everyone remember

cactusflower - thanks for the compliment. that was my first t-shirt dress and it will be perfect for the summer. the bottom of the dress is the same bottom the t-shirt had. the only adjustments i made were on the sides and top

pink hula - yes, saving the whales is pretty good. thanks for commenting

nushybum - thanks for the compliment and all the exclamation points!!! haha. i haven't worn it out in public yet, but i can only imagine what everyone says about it. i followed a pattern i found online. if you're interested let me know and i'll try finding the website. the shirt wasn't that long to begin with, but after you make the adjustments the top of it end sup around your chest rather than on your shoulders. so that adds some length. especially after you add the fabric to the top.

oh gosh, how I love whales Smiley (well, all animals really) Fab dress, the white detail pulls it all together!

Now the wintertime is coming,
The windows are filled with frost.
I went to tell everybody,
But I could not get across.
Well, I wanna be your lover, baby,
I don't wanna be your boss.
Don't say I never warned you
When your train gets lost.
