So here is my modified magazine cut out...I hope this counts as a reconstruction...

We subscribe AAA travel magazine each month and a few monthes ago they featured Hearst Castle. I visit Hearst Castle every year on vacation and I absolutely loved one of the photos in the magazine. I wanted to do something more with it than just put it up on my bulletine board.

I had a bunch of extra frames left over from another event I was planning so I grabbed one of the gold ones to keep the theme of the castle. I painted a gold boarder around the photo to bring out the gold in the lighting. Finally I aged some paper and added it to the corner with the quote from Mr. Hearst to Ms. Morgan which inspired the whole construction of Hearst Castle.

It looks very nice on my desk and ties in well with my French Provencial bedroom.  I look forward to doing this with other magazine photos I like.
