This is a baby blanket I just finished for my brother's sister. She's due to have a C-section on the 23rd of this month though the date might possibly be moved up. Tim, if you see this don't say anything to Anita!

It was made with Lion Brand Hometown USA yarn so it's pretty thick and very soft. It measures roughly 30in X 40in.

The pictures I'm going to share are when it's not entirely finished. As you can see in a couple of them I ran out of green just shy of the end. I was so ticked! I went out the next day, got more yarn and it's finished now.

This is lovely! I really like the non-traditional baby blanket colors, I had so much pink in my house it was crazy! Mama and baby are going to love it!

Color was my first concern when I decided I wanted to make her a baby blanket. I love pink but people go a little too nuts with the color when some one is having a girl IMO.

Originally, I wanted to use yellow (my favorite color as a child) and green (my favorite color now) but when I got to the store and was looking at yarn I loved the combination of the 4 colors together. So yes, there is pink, but it's not overwhelming.

I'm currently working on a blanket with a really similar square pattern! Thanks for sharing! I also chose nontraditional colors for my blanket, although not as bold as yours! I like your edging a lot. My pattern doesn't call for that but I might add it anyway Smiley
