I've been working on yet another big video game map and this time nothing has gone the way I wanted: I kept having to unpick hours of work, the colours turned out wrong (which I of course realised only after having stitched for ages). I usually have plenty of patience, but that one has been trying me. Tongue

So I wanted to mix it up with something that would stitch up faster. Some instant(ish) gratification. This was what I came up with:

Origin of the quote:

Edit: I posted the pattern here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/cross_stitch_ninja/4698689427/sizes/l/ My pattern program wouldn't include the floss numbers, but I used black 310, green 471, red 918 and brown 610 (all DMC).

Gotta love Adam  Grin
Brilliant, I only wish I had the patience to do something as intricate as needlecrafts.

Heavily tattooed and hair dyed mum of one, unless you count my husband then two, who has taken up sewing as a way to keep her sanity.

This is great, one of my favorite quotes from the show!  Nicely done, every time I work on cross stitch there are always ring marks that never seem to come out Sad

but stronger than all my afterthoughts is my fury,
fury that brings upon mortals the greatest evils." - Euripides

Thank you! I've kept got the pattern if anyone wants to make one. Smiley

dragonfire411 >> The marks you're getting, are they from the hoop? I almost never use hoops myself, so I can't be of much help, but do you remove it when you're not stitching? I think it's if you leave it on for too long that you get those ring marks.

I was so confused as to why this was titled Mythbusters and not Wayne's World until I remembered that I had heard Adam say it before...  Grin

Did they say that in Wayne's world too? I didn't know that.

Love Mythbusters. ♥ And this is a fantastic tribute. :]
I'm especially fond of the way the colors go together!

@Cross stitch ninja, re: dragonfire411 - The marks that I usually get are from the oil in my fingers. Indirectly from the hoop, because the hoop causes me to hold the piece a certain way, with my thumb in one spot on the fabric. But yeah. It's really gross, and hard to get out. I usually have to use spray&wash to get it out.
