My partner just received in the Whedonverse swap, so it's safe to post about the needlework I did for her. :]

First up, the Mutant Enemy Logo, in tote bag form- it was my first try at embroidery, so I was really nervous about it, but I'm actually pretty proud of it, even though the front pocket's crooked. I had no idea what I was getting into, haha. Tongue She mentioned that she liked turquoise-y blue, and I lucked into some pretty fabulous turquoise fabric. I worked on it, on and off from the 22nd of May until Wednesday, when I finished the bag.

Before making the bag, I knew I wanted to make something dealing with Wash's dinosaurs, so when I saw on her questionnaire that this exchange was among her favorites, I knew what I had to do, haha.
Made up a pattern using a couple of dinosaur sprites that I silhouetted (Though the T-Rex only had one leg, so I attempted to add another [the smaller one on the right] that didn't look weird. I'm not sure if I succeeded. And yeah, I know his dino was a Ceratosaurus, but I couldn't find a good sprite. Tongue) and a font I found online, with some small alterations to a couple of the letters. Specifically, I changed the 'a' to look more like an 'a' and less like an 'o'.

I'm glad to do some swapping, because it's apparently the only thing that can motivate me to actually -do- something with the stuff I make, instead of just loose fabric sitting on my chest of drawers.

Nice! That cushion is awesome! I recognised it as soon as I saw it. Cheesy

It eats you, starting with your bottom.

Haha, thanks, you guysss. I'm really glad the colors went well together- I'm fond of turquoise and brown together, but they don't always match like you think they will, depending on the shade.
