I can't be the only person on Craftster who loves point-and-click adventure games.  They're all about hoarding random crap until you can combine it with something else in your stash to make a fabulous new item - so pretty much like our crafting behaviour, right?  This swap would cover all Lucas Arts point-and-clicks, including Monkey Island, Grim Fandango, Maniac Mansion, Full Throttle, Sam & Max, Zak McKracken & the Alien Mindbenders, Indiana Jones and The Dig.  I suppose we could also do a general point-and-click swap to include games like Simon the Sorcerer and Broken Sword, I'm just a big nerdy old Lucas Arts fan. I was thinking a 3 or 4 point swap, nothing too stressful.  I'd have to wait for my second bit of feedback before organising this thing, but I figure that gives us all time to get suitably excited.  What do you guys think?

Oh my, this reminded me so much of one nice computer program for DIY point&click games - "Adventure Maker". I am a huge fan of Minoto point&click games. I have made some also myself but they are roughly done and I am ashamed to actually show them off. (It is a huge job even when I use premade pictures.)

This is wild--I was just talking about old school point-and-click adventure games yesterday! I love the old Lucas Arts games--I replay Day of the Tentacle on average at least once a year--but my P'nC heart really belongs to Sierra. The King's Quest Series, Torin's Passage, Leisure Suit Larry... And Gabriel Knight, which ranks high on my list of all time favorite video games to this day.

Anyway, enough rambling. I'd be down for a Lucas Arts swap, for certain.

Please do show them off! Cheesy

"...my P'nC heart really belongs to Sierra."

If other people show up wanting Sierra, we could always broaden the swap. Smiley  I've never played them, though.

This sounds brilliant. I love the old Lucas arts AND the sierra games... and the first discworld game, before the graphics became so smooth and boring. Wink

Wow.
a blast from the past!  I also fell in love with the Sierra games awhile back....
King's Quest was a favorite, and I think there was one set in the old west?
(I also loved those interactive fiction games, which I guess were a precursor to these?)
hmmm....makes me want to go back & play a few again!

I'm all about the Sierra and King's Quest!

There was another one I really loved, a haunted mansion or something??

I recently downloaded the first game chapter of the Monkey Island for Wii....I'm stuck on the first section. Oh the shame!

Okay, I see that I am totally outnumbered. Cheesy  I'll probably end up going for a general point-and-click swap instead.  I'm also going to have to do my homework and play some of these Sierra games you're all raving about.

I love it too.  I've always thought it'd make a lovely necklace.
