I would like to say a huge thank you to pinkmichk for creating this beautiful octopus wallet.  I have a big big love of any creature with tentacles (they're so weeeird, how did they even happen) so I was thrilled to receive this little guy.  There's some real skill gone into the embroidery on this cutey.

I love the colours she chose.  I really wasn't very helpful with this but I do love linen with orange.

Isn't he awesome?  He kind of reminds me of sinister octopus.

A picture of the inside - I love the swirlyblobby blue fabric. Cheesy

For the people who wanted to see the pages in my notebook, here's another picture of the book as well as one I took of just the papers.  I used a mix of pearlescent and mulberry papers - a lot more of the pearlescent ones as they're much easier to write on.  I tore the papers into little sheets and blended them in the hope of creating little paper waves.

I love that you mixed them up to make waves of color / shape in the wee notebook!  That's so creative. And very wave-like! Smiley  Good job!

I want everything in this gallery! The Octo-wallet is awesome, and I'm really wanting to steal that pendant.

I dream of a house covered with your art, and would love a personal swap. Pm me if you'd like to spread the crafty love! I also need blue fabric scraps for a scrap quilt!

My lovely sea creature came yesterday!  I was pretty obvious about my love for turtles, and blupaisan and I both agreed that we liked functionality.  So she made me the perfect thing--a turtle clock!! (I'm glad it didn't get destroyed in the mail or anything--the ticking was a bit loud and could have been mistaken for something a bit more...errr....dangerous!)

First, it met Honu, the stuffed turtle.

Then, it had to be approved by Picasso, the real turtle.  He's a big fan, because it will help me remember what time to feed him.

And here's what the edges look like, with lots of little turtles in different positions:

And last but not least, a lovely little note with a precious hand drawn sea turtle!

I couldn't have asked for a better gift for my first ever swap--thanks for making it great, blupaisan Smiley
