So someone asked me to make them a hoodie based off the character Gir from Invader Zim (a cartoon). This is what I came up with and I am SO PROUD OF IT! Everything is symetrical... I didnt have a single 'oh damn! I have to do that over cause I forgot to ____' moment.. so so happy with it.

The hood is lined so its extra thick because I didnt want the seams and all the stitches from where the decorative bits were attached to be seen when the hood was down.

Thanks for looking Smiley

OMG!OMG!OMG!  So cool!  I don't get to watch Invader Zim except the Christmas episodes! (I'm in Canada and too poor for cable) But I'm pretty sure I'm from where ever Gir is from.  This is wicked awesome.  Sure hope your friend is the kind that will give you a kidney later just for this sweat shirt.  I sure would....

OOOH that's really very awesome!!!

Funnily enough, i've just recently (as in the past fortnight), seen one that a friend of mine did.

The only thing that i can think of off the top of my head, was that he made the "stitches" really obvious. But they were fake stitches... like in the cartoon, you can  noticeably see girs stitching???

Well my friend got wool, and sewed them in by hand to look more like the cartoon, but obviously everything was held together by real stiching like yours!

I freaking love Gir.

I thought about doing that, I did it on my own hoodie when I made it years ago, but I dont have any noticable thread and it came out really bad last time, so I decided to leave it off this one. Tongue

It is better to have crafted and failed then never to have crafted at all.
Yes, I am stalking the Toys and Playthings board. Thanks for noticing!
I'm cheating on Craftster with Pinterest. It's ok though. There's overlap.

The craftsmanship on this looks so AWESOMELY CLEAN!  Gir is great and this hoodie is great.  You should definitely be proud of your work  Grin
