I could just go on and on about awesome organizers, but the one's who popped into my head first were DesignVigilante and her MAFs (and she makes awesome cookies) and kaz814 and the frugal swap.

Perach Yafeh (is she still around?) and Barbolot have organized some kick a$$ embroidery swaps as well!

Last summer, I was in 3 or 4 swaps when I had to put my life on hold for a week or two due to a family emergency. All of the organizers I had at the time were patient, thoughtful and supportive. So a round of applause for MareMare, spicytaco and loves2experiment.

I also admire and am in awe of llisaredd for her organizing abilities - the Monthly Odd Holiday swaps and the ginormus Inchies swaps. Wow and thanks.

lets see

RondaS: one of the greatest organizers...I miss her.
Smmarrt: Attentive and sweet, Great communicator! Always on top of things.
lisarredd: another sweet attentive organizer.
SevsOnlyGirl and SuperHooker in the IYP's: totally awesome
Ma Rut: one of my fav organizers..I don't know if she does it anymore
averyg: I'm in a swap with her now and she's awesome!

These are gals that have stuck out in my mind that have been such good organizers. They are excellent at pairing partners and communication and making sure profiles are always updated.
Awesome job ladies!
edit: I need to get Barbolot in there as well...she's a wonderful organizer!

I hesitated to post here because I already know that I'll leave someone out.

Let me start by saying that I have never, not even once, had a bad experience with or caused by a swap organizer and I've been in hmm.... I think thirty something swaps now.

I will give special mention to:

TheSapphireMoon :  In the FOC Raffle Swap I was in, she was so wonderful and always had such nice things to say about each and every entry.  She was helpful and just so nice through-out the swap.

Barbolot:  When I was in her pincushion swap, I was still a little nervous about swaps in general ( you know, will my crafting be up to par, will I mess up and do something wrong , etc.).  She was so helpful and encouraging.

Superhooker:  Extremely helpful, easy to communicate with, and again; just so darn nice ( that means so much to me)

Oh, and I'm drawing a total blank on this one.  Whoever organized the last crafty detective swap ( wasn't it AsphaltQueen?).  That was a crazy swap and the thread just got crazy out of hand but she just kept things going in the right direction.  She was also quick to get back to us with answers to pm's.

I guess my biggest shout-out has to go to TwiztidBlood and Sunspotted for those crazy OWS swaps.  It boggles the mind when one thinks of all the organization and hard work that has to go into a swap like that.  Not only do they make it look easy, but they just keep doing it over and over, and we are all so glad that they are willing to.

I may be back, because I'm sure I've forgotten someone who deserves a mention here, and if I've been in your swap and didn't mention you, its just brain fog on my part.  You're all amazing!

I love hearing all the positives on organising swaps!  It seems to me that the biggest things that keep coming up are 'nice, easy to work with and great communication'. Smiley

I can't believe nobody has mentioned the amazing GatorWrangler yet! She organizes the horribly complicated Sweat Shoppe Swap, often with 30+ participants and hundreds of packages being sent out, and she manages to match everyone up and get messages out within hours of signups closing! Gives me nightmares just thinking about organizing a swap like that, but she has done a wonderful job each round. Big thank you to you Gator!

I think its pretty amazing that GatorWrangler always seems to be able to match people with their top picks....I can't even imagine how complicated that is to achieve!!

I have only participated in a few swaps, but I have had *GREAT* organizers.  kaz814 for the frugal living swap, and llisaredd for the Monthly Odd Holiday swaps. They both did a great job of communicating with everyone and matching people up.

I also agree that Gatorwrangler does an amazing job with the sweat shoppe swaps and Sunspotted and Twiztidblood are fabulous on the OWS swaps (don't know how they keep up with the claims!).

Looking for a vintage magazine (1974 - 1978) that has a fabric nativity set w/ people and animals. An example: http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=440861&ppuser=143144.
