My friend's dog was quaranteened for some ridiculous amount of months when they moved there. She was allowed to visit though.
So they will destroy the whole package then? Seems a bit over kill to do away with the felt birds, that's very sad.
Getting a package out of quarrantine is expensive.  Sad

Hooray - finally posting pictures!  I had a wonderful package from the brilliant sweet_aya.

The first thing I unwrapped was a lovely knitted scarf in a beautiful creamy colour, with an appliqued felt bird on the end.

Then there was a cutie little box decorated with flowers and little birdies:

And most amazing of all, some fabulous jewellery!  Love it all, especially the necklace, with a little bird in the cage, and a little bird flying away.  I have slim little wrists, and the bracelet fits perfectly - so unusual for me!

Thank you so much sweet_aya - everything was in colours that I love, with the sort of birds I love!  She also popped in some Dulce de Leche, which I'd never heard of, but my boyfriend has an Argentinian friend so he knew all about it!  It is very yummy, like really rich fudge.  Mmmmm.

Thank you thank you thank you sweet_aya for such a cool first swap, and thanks Smmarrt for organising this!

Yaaaaay!! I'm so glad you liked it all Cheesy
I used my own wrist as a model, because you said you had tiny wrists and i have tiny wrists too, so i figured that way i'd get it right. The necklace, it was a hit back home too. My mom tried to escape with it, i had to promise to make her one too! hahaha
oh and i'm glad you liked the candy! dulce de leche is kind of a big deal over here so i figured i should send some to you. Cheesy

thanks for a great first swap and also thanks to the great organizers!

Things have been hectic, and when I mean hectic, I mean CRAZY, so it was a welcome moment when my package from CraftyStoner arrived!

First, it all came in this lovely box with handpainted paper.  Oooh.

(The box is a little crushed in the corner, but nothing awful.  Totally still usable.)

Then, the goodies.

Here we have fabulous little blue birdy earrings, and a lovely bird silhouette frame, which is now hanging from my rearview mirror on blue ribbon.  Note more gorgeous handmade paper.

Also this bottle of essential oil with a really cute painted box with a cork.  Tell me what this is!  I am desperate to know!  Then, a jar of bath salts that smell luscious.  So exciting. (Also, the stamps from which the silhouette was made. Tiny cards to friends are in my future.)

And then!

An incredible felt armband for my iPod!  I used it the other day on my jog, and it worked beautifully.  Plus I got to show it off to all my friends.  The bird is a wren, my favorite.  Smiley  Also, a super cute feather and bead dangle, which is now hanging off of my computer monitor.  So far, the cats haven't noticed.  AND in the back is another little box covered in the handpainted paper!

Aaaah, what a wonderful swap!  Sorry it took so long to post the pictures!  Smiley
