I made my first successful ami for my LV swap.. all the other ones always come out crooked and disfigured..  I love the way knitted stitches look also but I can't knit to save my life..

I started out a hardcore crocheter to do amis, when they took over my house I  switched to knitting. I taught myself how to knit about 2 years ago, there are endless how-to videos on the subject on youtube...I know how to cable and I just learned fair isle, but I can't for the life of me knit a sock or mitten...

I'm practicing my knitting skills, I started knitting myself a sweater, I'm about half done now, my goal is to finish it before sign ups end. Grin

so I picked up the needl;es, tried a sweater (came out good considering was ALL garter stitch--then went into LYS for GOOD Yarn-bought more needles, then got some awesome cable needles--get about two or three lines in a BASIC Pattern--frustrating---frog it & grab a hook & do it the right way (for me) LOL
I WILL LEARN TO START SMALLER--like washcloths.
Then again I can whip a washcloth in under a 1/2 hour with a hook & first washcloth (picture) knitting took like DAYS---
and where does that extra stich pop up from & adjust a K2Tgthr & then my stitches are off by like FOUR....

maybe I'm just meant to be a hooker afterall

The sweaters I'm best at are the top down raglan sweaters, they are quick, simple and super cute

There is something WEIRD going on with the feedback system.  The entries I made yesterday had disappeared, so I'm going through everyone's profiles to double check.  So if you don't see a feedback entry on your profile, have no fear!  I should have everything up to date by tomorrow.

Yay finally got the time to sign up for this. I only crochet and can only go from patterns or can modify patterns but can't make them up yet. But I do love to do it. Hope there's room for me.

Joining bubblegum_phoenix in the waiting room, crochet hook in one hand, knitting needles in the other.

Roll Eyes  I'm in the waiting room with you two, but I'm like the annoying kid who won't sit still....I'm running around with my crochet needle and a skein of yarn, and you two are yelling at me:  "Sit down!  You're going to put somebody's eye out!"   Grin  (Ok, I'm LOL at the mental visual of the three of us!)
