Hey all! I'm Jenn, signing in from Canada Grin I'll be 27 at the end of the month, the 30th to be precise.

Let's see, what can I say about myself... I have tons of plants (I work as a gardener in the summer). My winking cat and I share a tiny apartment, so I prefer practical over decorative items. I don't like attracting much attention to myself, so I rarely to wear stuff that is too outlandish (unless it's for indoor use), but I LOVE having lots of outlandish, creative, crazy stuff around the house. My favourite colours are purples and turquoises, but I like most colours in general (I'm not fond of yellow or neon colours) - I just love colour. I'm always trying new things, experimenting new crafts and recipes (I love to cook), which often results in failed attempts... but that doesn't stop me (there ARE many successful ones too) Cheesy I'm hopefully going back to school in the fall.

I adore prisms, textures, nature, light, transparency, comfort (if something's not comfortable, I won't wear it), quotes, organization, sweets, wood, glass...
I don't care for vampire, skull, morbid, bling, vintage, or steam-punk, items....

  • The links are provided only as examples.
  • Some of these are big or silly wishes, but I’ve put them anyways – in case they might inspire something!

    Crafted Items:

    • Ball Winder
    • Fabric ModPodge or Paints
    • Fabrics, any kind or size
    • Felting yarn and fibers
    • Fun-shaped cake moulds
    • Fused bead kit
    • Hooked Rug Kit
    • Knitting needles (I’ve just started, so I only now have 1 set 5 sets straight and 1 circular)
    • Loom of any kind, for any material (can be handmade)
    • Noro Yarn (or other self-striping yarn)
    • Notions for jewelry-making
    • Ring Sizer
    • Sock Loom

    • Acrylic dishes
    • Cookies, fudge, or other delicacy
    • Drink Mixes (hot chocolate, tea/iced tea)
    • Glow-in-the dark stars
    • Ice cream scoop
    • Prisms
    • Smurf figurines (for my collection)

  • Notice how I placed all the items in alphabetical order? That's just part of my tendency to waste lots of time and energy adding unnecessary details... Roll Eyes

Kiss Thanks in advance!!! Kiss

Hi!  My name is Christine.  My b-day is 7/27--I'll be 32.  I'm a newbie here so if I do anything wrong please correct me.  I am a huge animal lover (we have 3 dogs and 3 cats), a vegetarian (so no wool, leather, or things tested on animals please), an avid reader (esp. mysteries), scrapbooker, I love the Renaissnace Faire.  I've been married for 6 years and am a stay at home mom to a wonderful 2 1/2 year old girl named Emma.  And we are TTC baby #2 (it's been a year so far so it's been rough).
My favorite color is purple, I also like earthy colors.  I love pailsey prints.  I'm trying to be more crafty and enjoy making things for and with my daughter.

My wish list:
Mostly looking for things for my dd
Undies and Overnight trainers, 3T
fabric alphabet set (she would love animal prints!)
Waldorf doll or kit/supplies/book to make my own
Bitty baby boy/girl twins and American girl outfits and accessories
Crochet doll
lunchbag for dd (she loves dogs and cats)
bath scrubbies like these:http://hyenacart.com/underthewillowtree/index.php?c=0&p=85115
Queen size water proof mattress pad
Thing to hang from back of cars front seat to hold toys, etc.
Pail liner
Waldorf teething doll; other handmade toys
Wooden teether/mothers bracelet
Babywearing vest
Handmade bar soap
Reusable sandwich/snack and gallon size bags
Unpaper towels, reusable bowl covers
pretty much anything to help me go more "green"
Business card/credit card holder
I have a wist that I am still slowly adding to: http://wists.com/Babydogs3

Scrapbooking supplies--chipboard, 12x12 paper, 3D embellishments, brads, pretty much anything new and cool (no flat stickers though please)
Really need 6x6 page protectors for the gift scrapbooks I'm making and can't seem to find them anywhere
Any arts and craft supplies, kits, etc. that I can use w/my dd
Fleece, PUL, OBV (I'm a very beginner sewer so scraps are fine to practice on)
100% silk/playsilk blanks
Dyes for silk and cotton
Plain white cotton shirts/onesies (any sizes) and cotton bags that I can dye
Wooden letters to spell EMMA that I can decorate for her bedroom door
Soap/candy molds, soap making supplies

I will add more as I think of things so check back often, lol.

Hi! My name is Desiree, and I'll be 26 on the 18th. I live in Vancouver, BC with the boyfriend but I'm enroled in Dalhousie's costumes program - which I love so far! I'm a vegetarian (meaning I also stay away from fur an leather) and I have one kitty named Cupcake. I love to sew (especially historical) and I do some knitting. I've dabbled in weaving, dyeing, felting, and spinning, and I've recently begun to explore stenciling and burn-out techniques. So... textiles? Yes, textiles.

My favorite colour is sort of pink, but I like anything except gratuitous amounts of yellow or fuschia (I know, it's so close to pink! I'm crazy that way).
I love: things made out of books/comics/decoupage, amiguri, CATS, art, crochet, texture, did I say cats?, LOLcats, handwoven, hand dyed, hand spun, chocolate, sarcasm, futurama, martial arts.
I often lean more to girly than not, and I lean away from skulls, spiders(phobia), and most beaded items.

I'm allergic to smoke and most scents make me sneeze unfortunately.

Wist: www.wists.com/desm88

- something hand spun or hand woven
- a surprise, wist item, or etsy fave

That's all I have so far, thanks in advance for claiming me!

*Some fabric art inspired by this : https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=226679.0

Hi Everyone  Grin My name is Bernadette and I live up in Canada more specifically Langley BC. I just turned 19 on July 3, which for Canadians is the equivalent of turning 21, so I'm excited to have passed that milestone.  I'm a weird combo of a nerd, hippy and a girlie girl. I don't drive, I ride my awesome one speed cruiser bike (Prudence). I love Star Trek, Star Wars, Firefly, Dr. Who and other nerdy shows and movies (which you can see on my profile). I am a vegetarian but unless your going to sent me meat cookies it shouldn't be a problem. I don't really have a favorite color, I just dislike certain colors like mauve (aka dusty rose), mustard and olive green. I love things that can successfully combine my girly side and my love of nerdy things. Sorry I'm bad at self description, so if you have any questions just shoot me a PM.

Hello!  My birthday is on July 31, when Ill be 34.  I knit, sew, and am new to embroidery.  I currently live in North Carolina, but I recently finished grad school and will soon be moving to the Midwest for a teaching job at a liberal arts college.  My aesthetic is very minimal--I try to surround myself with simple, beautiful, natural things.  William Morris said it best:  Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.  I love natural colors and materials, especially organic and sustainable, and various shades of grey, blue, green, and brown (and lovely clear red).  I'm also loving orange lately--bright, clear oranges (more red than yellow)--and soft teals.  Mr. Boot and I recently adopted a retired racing greyhound, and I am really interested in learning more about natural pet care.

Here's my wishlist.  I also have a huge list of wists and a pretty extensive etsy favorites.  Thank you!

warm fair isle knitted hat
shibori scarf

summer wrap - i love shawls or wraps of any kind, sewn or knit, dyed, embellished, whatever.  there are many, many examples on my wistsfeel free to experiment with my wists and likes in mind.

knitted fingerless gloves:  perhaps stripey mitts (in oranges and teals with a grey background?  or any other colors like the ones listed in my intro!) or leafy mitts, or any others that you think I might like!

mittens made of felted sweaters

knitted hood

two-color handspun yarn to make the topographie hat -- perhaps in orange and soft teal, or red and grey?  something like that?

worsted-weight handspun yarn to make thermis - any of the colors listed above, but I would especially love a combination of grey, orange, and teal!

hand-dyed sock yarn

altered art belt buckle in a western, botanical, or steampunk theme

crocheted o-ring necklace in spring green

handmade soap - cinnamon, lavendar, eucalyptus, oatmeal and honey, etc.

ironing board cover in a fun print or plain solid fabric

quilted potholders in natural colors

stenciled placemats in natural colors like browns, blues, greens, orange/rust/red

modern laminated-fabric placemats

tea towels -- embroidered, embellished, stenciled, or vintage-style.  seriously, i love tea towels of any kind!

embroidered hankies for hubby:  themes could be agriculture (he would be soo happy with an old-fashioned hand plow, a mule or goat, or any kind of old-timey farming image), star wars, battlestar galactica, firefly, alien, etc.

bags and organizers

zip pouches of any kind, large and small!  perhaps embroidered linen, or fun modern fabrics?

pouch for a natural first aid kit

your version of the in touch clutch

coin purse

your version of a knitting organizer

for the dog

natural, dog-friendly soaps

other fun stuff

hand-carved rubber stamps like these or with lotta jansdotter-type designs or like the ones at mayamade

handspun or hand-dyed yarn

your version of a homemade pinhole camera

pre-loved is more than fine for these!  and a supplies-only package is great.

sock yarn of any kindespecially superwash wool or hand-dyed

books about sock knitting

darning egg

acrylic circle tool for quilting

essential oils for making natural cleaning supplies:  tea tree, lavender, eucalyptus, etc.

100% wool, worsted weight yarns in natural colorsmy stash has been sadly depleted lately!  id love any nice colors, but especially blues, greens, browns, etc.

100% wool, DK weight yarns see above!

IKEA fabrics in modern or botanical designs--I live several hours from an Ikea but LOVE their fabrics!

any issues of stitch magazine

blocking board for knitting

embroidery patterns --  any from badbirds etsy shop, Japanese embroidery patterns or books, sublime stitching (especially artists series #3, vital organs), clover (kitchen, animals, garden), wee wonderfuls, anything vintage / modern  (but no cutesy animals, country, or kitsch, please)

vintage dress-making books, especially with pattern-making advice; in particular Im looking for Vogue's New Book for Better Sewing (1952)

vintage calendar kitchen towels

wool yarn scraps --  Inspired by mimiw, Im collecting scraps of wool (or other animal fiber) for a scrappy knitting project.  Send me the odds and ends of your projects--handspun scraps work too!  Animal fibers only, and at least 1 yard per scrap, please!

OR anything you like to craft that you think fits my taste based on my wishes, my wists, or my etsy favorites

Thank you so much, and happy birthday to all!
