A really great friend of mine is moving from Virginia to California in about a week. I wanted to give her a very special gift, as she's been there for me so much, and I love her to death. She was one of two friends who came to see me when I was stuck in the hospital for a week and a half last year, and I'm going to miss her like crazy. We both are crazy in love with the Metal Gear series, and she has a pretty big crush on Snake. I used half stitches to make the project go faster, and it ended up lending itself so wonderfully to the art style of the series. It's just over 2200 stitches, and the image is from Metal Gear: Ghost Babel. The quote is from the first Metal Gear Solid. Otacon asks Snake this, and Snake answers that he does, that people can fall in love anywhere. Since she's moving across the country to be with the man she loves, I thought it was only fitting.

Also, because I think she's absolutely beautiful and I love this picture that I took of her: the lovely recipient of this little piece:

Thank you! I really hope that it makes her smile when she's feeling homesick. You should definitely do something for your friend!
