love the pattern, katara!!! i'm trying to get a crochet group started in the town in which i live. most of us, including me, are beginners, and i think that this would be a great first project for all of us! i can teach them how to change colors and whatnot. this is gonna be awesome! i would actually prefer not to felt the bags, so we're gonna use some sugar n cream cotton to make these. i'll show you guys pictures as the project progresses! we're gonna meet either thursday night or sunday night. there will be anywhere from 3 to 8 or 9 of us (at least, that's the number of girls who say that they want to do this every week). i'll let you guys know how it turns out!

msface keep us posted! Would love to hear (and see) how things turn out!
Well I bought some wool today and I'm a-for-away!

I bought 4-ply wool and I'm using a 4.00mm crochet hook.
I'm using 20 sc, and changing color each alternate row.

I like it, but unfortunately I don't have the time to start anything new right now. I defiantly see it in my future though.

I found a crochet pattern on Ravelry which I think is the same bag.

I still haven't started on this bag. I am waiting for my crochet group to be more organized. Don't you guys just hate it when people say they'll do something and then fail to show when the time comes? =/
Maybe this Sunday will be better.

I'm going to try and crochet another block today. The scarf I'm making for the granny-square craftalong is nearly finished so hopefully I'll be able to spend more time on this once that is finished.

Well my scarf is done! So now I can concentrate on this project again. Am just concerned - I didn't buy enough wool and I'm not sure if the fabric shop will still have the same colors...
