I never lost a package too and I've sent to all over the world. But sometimes it takes ridiculously long

Yeah my package is taking a ridiculous amount of time.  It has now been two weeks!  You'd think after spending the amount of money I did on shipping that it would be there by now.  Not too satisfied with Canada Post at the moment.  Embarrassed

I have had things from the US to Canada take longer than stuff shipped to Germany and the UK...an ocean away...so I really don't know what happens to stuff within this continent.  Hopefully will show up soon!  Just a couple packages still outstanding...come on mail systems, get with the program!

I received my package from Canada (after two weeks)
and here is my fabulous loot:

a choker necklace with a cute coral pendant

a grow-a-ray and a nautical star patch she bought and did not use

some really funny magnets

a neat decorated silver box (nautical punk theme) with tentacle earrings

And one of the coolest things, inspired by my wist:
A zombie on a day on the beach. Everybody wonders what he carries in his hand..

And the other coolest thing:
A Kool Aid purse:

you may wonder what it has to do with the sea...
well, it has a nautical lining. I love it!

Thank you eeyore_witch for all the great stuff. It has has been a fun swap again!

also anything out of recycled plastic helps there be less plastic in the sea (theoretically)

i really like the coral necklace - it's so bold!
and the demotivational poster magnet about stingrays - LOL

Glamis I'm so happy you like everything.

I tried to give you "something strange, funny, sarcastic" like you asked for in your questionaire. I had fun trying to find you  nautical/punk/rockabilly stuff.

The Zombie....I think....is holding a fence or gate.  I'm not sure but it was hard to find a full body picture of a zombie....lol.

When you said you liked the colors green and silver I thought of a Kool-aid Jammer bag.

Love the kool-aid bag!  The poster magnets are fab as well Smiley  I think we are down to 3 packages to be received!  Suzuka, have your parents gotten a chance to send that package up to you to make sure it is the one from BrooklynMermaid??

I received confirmation that Suzuka got my package!  I really hope she likes it.  TheSapphireMoon asked me to post pictures so here we go
First, a squid of some sort.  It's made of an old rainbow scarf that I've made several other things from as well.

Second, I made a bag.  It's a blue gradient type fabric with white flowers and it reminded me of the sea.  I sewed the handles on wrong and I hope they're not too short.  They're a dark blue semi-mesh like fabric with turquoise zigzags in the middle.  The turquoise thread is actually antique thread from my bisnonna (great grandmother) who was a seamstress.  The thread is almost a hundred years old.
I appliqued a whale zig zagged with the same thread.  I used fabric paint to add an eye and a mouth and bubbles, then realized that whales don't give off bubbles....well at least it's cute!

close up of the whale:

The orca button used to close it:

I also included a necklace with a hematite dolphin pendant and two shell beads, but I didn't get a picture of that Sad

Last but not least I sent an extra, a wooden turtle charm I got as a free gift when I bought some beads several months ago.  You can see it in this picture:
