I wanted something pretty to look at while I'm laying on my couch... I decided a flock of paper cranes on an old branch was a good idea!

I like this idea. I may have to copy it in my own way. Thanks for the inspiration!

Very cool.  Did you use fishing line to suspend everything?

Very nice! It's got such clean lines. Cheesy This reminds me of one of the first pieces of decor I did in my house (much more chaotic/colorful):

It had been inspired by visiting someone's apartment where there were cranes EVERYWHERE (even short me kept walking into some!).

My decor has since grown to this:

Great idea! I really like how you incorporated the tree branch.

I'm glad you like it Smiley

I had the branch in the house already. It had been hanging on my wall with a bunch of vinyl wall birds around it.. but I decided to re-purpose our friend the branch.

I used clear vinyl thread to attach the birds to the branch... I sewed through a piece of the paper, then made a loop at the other end of the thread to hang on the branch at various places. (I had to mess about with this a bit to make sure that the birds were well distributed... too OCD to leave that to chance!)

I then used the same vinyl thread (which is a major PITA to work with, btw) and some white tacks to attach the branch to the ceiling.

I'm also going to make a glittery black crane to hang on the branch as well. Gotta love diversity Smiley
