I second the idea of framing it.  If you don't and decide to recon it then be sure to take lots of pics of it.  Smiley

I'm thinking pillow...this way its still snugly.

No, I don't have a lot of free time on my hands...I just use my time well.

I still have my baby blanket! Weird that you just posted this, I fixed some of the seams on mine last night. I'm WAY attached. 28 years and counting...it's looking super ratty.

I vote for crocheting it into another blanket.

The good thing about framing it would be that you can always change your mind and do something later, if a moment of genius happens to strike.  The fact that you're ambivalent about what to do with it tells me that you don't need to do anything permanent just yet.

Just my $.02.  Hope you hit on something that makes you happy!

Personally I think the framed afghan idea is the best one -- I like the thought of even a shadow box, with the afghan/blankie in the background, and maybe a small memorable toy that you used to play with as a child. Or better yet, a picture of you with the blankie in the shadowbox with it! And maybe a little piece of it laying nicely on the bottom of the inside of the box! XD

I wouldn't try to recon it, it looks pretty old and torn up.

Or, you could always cover a pillow in it - I would cover the pillow in white satin first, then use a piece of it for the front and some nice white satin or pink/blue/yellow, whatever, piping along the outer edge!
