I made this game of Tall Cards for the recent Firefly swap. It's basically poker from the future Cheesy And has 6 suits instead of 4. http://fireflyzone.tripod.com/id12.html

I decorated a box with pictures from Firefly/Serenity comic books to hold the game.

Here is what the back of the cards look like. I was able to get pictures of the actual ones they used in the episode 'Shindig' - the only difference is that in the show that cards are made of metal. Mine are altered Pokemon cards Cheesy Wish I used a smaller card though - I still have callouses on my hands from all the cutting I did.

There are 72 cards in total. The 6 suits are: apple, peach, strawberry, banana, plum and orange. Each suit also has a tortoise, dragon, unicorn and phoenix card (instead of King, Queen etc). All the fruits and animals are coloured with watercolour.

This is all the cards in the strawberry suit. The flash must not have worked because the colours are all washed out. They are much truer in the photo above.

The cards all tied up with string in their different suits.

The Tall cards - one for each suit.

The bets. In the episode when Book, Simon and Jayne are playing Tall Cards they don't bet with money they instead make bets using chores about the ship which they write on scraps of paper. So I did that as well. But added a few relevant ones since my partner has children.
Garbage, dishes, septic vac, homework, etc

Here is everything all together (including the rules which I burnt the edges of and stained with tea - nobody ever takes good care of the rules):

All tied up:

Wow! what a totally awesome job you did of remaking the game!

I've heard it both ways.

I'm looking to swap some knit &/or crocheted crafts for handmade CP/HP soap.
