I used a McCalls pattern for this so it is not technically a weekender bag but I really liked the structure. It was made for the rockmygypsysoul for the Crafty Detective Swap. C&C would be much appreciated as it is my first bag made with a pattern and this style was a first as well. Thanks for looking!

The side: It looks a bit awkward but its just because I didnt stuff it with anything.

The inside:

And in comparison to my 15 lb wiener dog Smiley

The mix of fabrics is what always makes these bags my favorite!  You did a fabulous job!  Would you recommend the pattern and will you make one for yourself?

It was so hard to give away but so worth it! As much as I hated the pattern, I have to make myself one!
Always- I will be making myself one for sure. I am not sure if it was the pattern that was illiterate or me  Undecided I really havent used them all that often so it is probably the latter. I actually just cut the pieces out and from there figured it out on my own without looking at the pattern. So it really wasnt too bad.

Haha, I love the bag, great colors and fabrics, but I cant get over the 15 lb weiner! I have one but he is only just under 8 lbs, hes considered a mini. my sister has his brother, who is a true mini at six lbs.

This came out SO well!  I would love to be able to make a bag like this!  I love how the fabrics complement each other perfectly!  I'm new to sewing - what did you use for the green trim and how did you get it on all the edges? Do you just sew the trim to the edges of the fabric before you sew everything all together?

Procrastination is killing me slowly...I'm going to put an end to that first thing tomorrow!
