This is my first post on the Scrapbooking board, and my first 'real' go at scrapbooking. Truthfully, its not something I've really been interested in doing for myself until recently. I rediscovered the scrapbook my mum and sis made for my 21st with the blank pages waiting for me to fill. I wasn't really sure how I wuld document my life, the only real was I ever do this, really, is by the film I was into at that moment. So this is what I've decided to do. The pages are 6x6 inches, which was a nice do-able size and the papers used were a variety of custom painted/coloured and 6x6 scrapbooking booklets. I've actually really enjoyed this and am hoping to make it on ngoing project. So here is my life in film...

'The Faculty'
I saw this at my 15th birthday party. It was the film that mae me aware of directors and made me realise how I felt about film.

'Citizen Kane'
I was 17 when my film/video teacher showed us this. I didn't know you could make a film in b+w on purpose, or that you could tell a story out of order.

'Dark City'
What? Australians could do sci-fi and not just crap comedy or gore-soaked horror?

'Sin City'
Not technically a scrapbook page, yes, but it was the only was to faithfully capture this film, a film that made me realise the beauty that could exist in violence, that showed an unbelievable view of the world.

I was more excited to see this than my 21st birthday. A film that taught me about loss.

'Sans Soliel'
Sudying film at uni enabled me to really embrace my film geekyness and watch films that I wouldn't necessarily get a chance to see or choose to watch myself. This film is like a memory of a dream.

Let me know what you think!

I have decided that the hokey pokey is what it's all about.

Ralph this is amazing...what a brilliant idea.

I love personal swaps,  I print a lot of random fabric, usually with no purpose in mind.  let me know if you want any of it.

What a neat idea for a scrapbook! I should try to do my life in books. Cheesy My favourite page is the Sans Soleil one.
