As for the pattern making I usually just get fabric and work with it on my dress form or pattern paper......... I have not gone to any design school or studied Fashion design in any way (as i had to go overseas and was not possible for me) i usually just wing it and go with my instincts lol.............and learn by my mistakes Tongue  I just sit there and do my head in  Huh
