So we took the week off work and packed up our 3 dogs and headed home to San Diego for Spring Break. We took the boys Expedition and we didnt want the small dogs jumping in the front seat with us the whole ride. I picked up McCalls 5902 and stitched it up before we left. It worked like a charm. I chose boring old grey fleece since our dogs are all different colors. The dogs were able to utilize the whole backseat as well as the room in between the seats without feeling like they were falling off.

Right after I finished sewing, the straps hook around the front headrests and back headrests and then a long strap to go around the whole seat.

And you can see the hammock part here as one of our dogs lays in it.

And the girls sleeping, you can see the back of the cover

That looks like a great pattern, and your pups sure are happy!
Does the edge have reinforcement, or do you think there's an unwritten weight limit? I've got a 60lb dog and a 15lb dog, so I'm wondering about the sagging and edge strain.

It is super sturdy, our big dog in the pic is 70 pounds and she was laying on the hammock part. It pulled down a tad but as soon as she moved, it popped back up so no sagging.
