This year Easter is on First Sunday (Commuion).  So my 5 yr old neice needs a dress.  this dress is made of white eyelet and white satin.  The collar, sleeves, and under slip are made of the satin with the rest of the dress made of eyelet!! I didnt have to go out to purchase anything (using fabric in my stash).  I cant wait for her to see it. She is always asking "Auntie when you gonna make me a dress." So now she has a dress with more to come!! This is not the first dress I have made for her either.

She loved the dress!! My sister did as well!! Picture taken on 4-4-10 Easter Morning!!

Quite adorable-- plus it is something she can wear to other places, too.

I can't tell, does the underslip go up to the botice or does it go to the shoulders?

If it goes to the bottom of the botice, you should make her a full slip in different colours to wear under it so it peaks through the wholes of the eyelet. Just a suggestion, my mom made me one almost identical to that when I was a little one. I had pink, purple, blue and yellow slips. I would wear socks to match the slips!

Thanks for the comments.  In response to Cealy, I attached the underslip to the bodice of the dress.  I will be making her another dress as she will be attend my grandmother's Surprise 90th Birthday Bash!!

Very nice job.  I have always loved eyelet, and the lining is a great idea.  When I made my daughter an eyelet dress, I had to buy a slip to go with it, as I didn't line it!
