Thought I would share my first crochet project that wasn't a blanket!  I made this pillow for my husband for Christmas and he loved it!  I used small granny squares.   I  have a complete tutorial here.  I don't think it would be too complicated even for relatively new crocheters!

I decided instead leaving the back plain, I would put a "Boo" so that something was chasing Mario  Cheesy

I used 8 different colors Red Heart Super Saver yarn and a size J crochet hook.  It took me about a week to make, although I crocheted a lot during that week to get it ready in time for Christmas.  I used only small granny squares, single crochet, and double crochet.  I also had to use fabric to make an internal pillow to sandwich between my two crocheted squares to hold all the stuffing inside!  To make it firm enough, since it is a relatively large pillow (about 24"x24"), I used an entire bag of stuffing.

I was inspired by this Mario rug I found right here on Craftsters, although I needed to bring it down in size since I didn't have enough time to commit to such a huge project!

Thanks for looking!  Love Always, Bethany Sew and Sew...
