I've had this awesome fabric for more than a year, and just decided what to do with it. It's Amy Schimler for Robert Kaufman from the Forest Fun series. I used the tute here only I didn't make the zippered top and I added dividers to make sections.

The back has one big pocket that holds my wallet.

The front has two pockets for keys and cell phone and misc stuff. Inside there are 5 pocket things. The back left holds a change of clothes for my son, back right has wipes and diapers, front left has my checkbook and calendar, front center is for a sippy cup and the front right holds toys and my son's epi pen. I'm not super happy with the dividers and of course after it was all together I figured out a better way of doing it but oh well. They work.

I'm going to make another one with padding to serve as a camera bag for my SLR next. Then probably a few more to use up other cute fabrics I have in my stash. Smiley

really professional. All the pockets will serve you well I'm sure. I like the fabric too- it has an expensive, yet fun look too it which is great for the bag. did it take long to make?

Thanks everyone! It took a day to make, but if you were just doing that and not also dealing with an almost 2-year old while also making several cuss-worthy, seam ripping mistakes it would probably only take 5 hours or so. Haha.

If I end up making another one, I'll write up a tute for the dividers. I don't think the way I did it was really great though. For the long one, I just made a panel and put it in the center of the lining. For the small ones, I made tubes of fabric and then hand stitched them into the lining. If I were to do it again, I would make tabs on the tubes and sew those to the lining. There's gotta be a better way of doing it though.

How great!  I love that you used the flap fabric as the lining as well, that's really cool Smiley
