I recently came across this site and I already have about 3 pages full of projects on my to-do list! DH will be so thrilled Wink

I've been dabbling in the wire/bead thing for a few months now, but never really made anything worth while...until the other night! I found some really cool beads at Wal-Mart for $1.88...With my trusty wire in hand, I started bending and twisting, and here's the result!

They aren't perfect, I know, but I've already had a couple people offer to buy them right off my ears!!!!

They look great!  I personally like "not perfect."  Flaws give people and crafts character.  : )

Those are cool beads!!  The earrings are really funky.  How did you get the tie dye effect on the card?

Thanks for all the comments!!
I made the cards in Photoshop...I used a couple different filters...added some grain, dry brush, slight gaussian blur to smooth it out, then used the Distort>Twirl filter...just played around with it until it looked good to me. Smiley

Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza.

I made the ear wire as well...I shaped it in kind of a house-looking shape...hard to describe without sounding like I'm nutz! Smiley

It wasn't hard at all to bend the wire into the smooth loops...the first pair I made, I just used my round-nosed pliers, and that worked okay but the 'leaves' were uneven looking. The next pair I made I used a jig to make the leaves and it was a little better, but they looked a little more rounded than I wanted. After I formed the loops, I put that section between some fabric (just used cotton cuz it was handy) and I gently tapped it with something hard just to flatten it out and harden it a bit. A jewelers mallet would work best, but I don't have one yet, so I just used the handle of a screwdriver...LOL I am so resourceful Smiley
