me being told by my mom that it was rude to say I wouldnt spend almost 1000 on a single dress...

That was RUDE?

Only if you're so hung up over being a bride that you forget that you're going to be a wife. A partner!

That dress just looks better and better.

Looks awesome! I'm getting married in October and luckily got my dress for an absolute bargain, otherwise I'd be freaking out, trying to make mine too Smiley
You did an amazing job, I love how you changed the pattern and it really does look great on you!!  Smiley

Wonderful job braving the shiny fabric!  I think my favorite part is probably the lovely wide shoulder straps, you've given me something to look for (or perhaps create???) in the future  Smiley.  Also, hurrah for big bottoms!   Grin  You got it going on, girl.  Congratulations on your wedding!

i think your neckline change is waaay more flattering than the original (and way more original than the original!) you would never know it's a handsewn dress. congrats!
(now go to the wedding aisle at ACMoore and you'll see how easy it is to whip up a veil/tiara!!) good luck and best wishes Cheesy

Your dress looks great!  You may have just given me the gumption to try some garments Smiley  I hope whatever i do end up trying turns out as awesome as yours!

Since my girls actually nap (knock on wood), I am going to start trying to work off my negative feedback.  Life got hectic with their early arrival.  I apologize for the inconveniences my flaking caused.
