I recently tried out polymer clay sculpting and I absolutely love it! You can make so many awesome things. The possibilities are endless.

Anyway, I really adore miniature foods and decided to try my hand at making a multiple layer cake with little decorations. I used white sculpey clay and painted it by hand using a small paint brush and Folk Art acrylic paints. It stands a little over an inch tall and is approximately 2 inches wide.

I know it's not the best, and the pics are crappy, but I'm pretty darn proud of this little clay confection.

That's pretty. I especially love the paint job. You can also try sculpting the clay around foil armatures to help give the layers a little more height. Good work.

Thanks! I've been watching a lot of polymer clay tutorials lately, and there are a couple of techniques I want to try. It's such a fun craft. Cheesy
