I made this for my parents new house.
Junk mail, an old picture frame, paint, parchment paper, a scrap of a light cover film left over from a wedding, foil, wire, etc.

First I did the regular foil and paint wrap on the picture frame and let it dry. Then I wrapped the frames backing board with parchment paper.
Next I drew flower petals on the junk mail with a sharpie marker, making sure to get a variety of colors, and then cut them out leaving the black lines around the edges.
I glued the petals to the light cover film into flower shapes.
Next I wrapped the wire around a pencil to get curlies and glued them to the light film.
When everything was dry I put the film into the frame between the backing board and the glass.
My parents loved it.
Now to be fair I got this idea about a year ago from a large piece of artwork I saw somewhere on the web. Not sure who made the original, but here is my finished interpretation:

Hope you like it!
