This was my project for the Knitting Olympics (check out the Yarn Harlot's blog if you don't know what that is) which unfortunately, due to illness momness and studentness, didn't get finished untile a couple days ago.  The important thing is that i tried (yeah, i know, that's what they tell the loser kids).
This is going to be a gift for my former stepfather's new baby girl (Lucia), due in May.

the front:

and, since I have no baby girls on hand to model it, my long-suffering 16-month-old son:

Thanks for looking; comments, critiques and questions are welcome.

If it had grown up, it would have made a dreadfully ugly child; but it makes rather a handsome pig, I think.

(I started this message a few minutes ago and it has disappeared.)
What I said was:

Beautiful!!!
You have done a marvellous job. And so early too - two months (or more) early.

What pattern did you use?
Those ARE rabbits, aren't they?

Your son is a model-in-the-making.

Aw, this is so pretty! Baby Lucia will look so chic in this. And I agree, your son is absolutely male-model material Wink

Thanks you two!  We try to spend as much time working on Blue Steel and Ferrarri as we can, Mama's counting on that money-maker, lol.

Jane2: I made the pattern up as I went pretty much.  It was fairly simple, but i did actually have to make a guage swatch  Shocked  THe bunnies I drew up on graph paper.  I would encourage more people to try making their own fair isle charts, it is a lot of fun and makes you feel so clever Smiley
