A friend of mine was taking an evolutionary biology course and fell in love with picture of Thomas Henry Huxely's famous gorilla sketch and asked me to paint it for him.  Originally I was going to paint it on a regular canvas, but while I was shopping at Goodwill I came across a stack of old LP's and thought that it would look way cooler on an old vinyl than a canvas.

I did this in a few hours using acrylic paint. Once it was done, I gave it a slightly uneven dusting of white spray paint to make it look more like a chalkboard.
