My baby is due in May and my nerdy husband and I decided on a Super Mario/ Nintendo themed nursery. Because of this unconventional choice I am making pretty much everything for his room myself. These letters are going to be affixed to a piece of wood and then hung on his door.

I bought the letters at Hobby Lobby and hand painted each one.

Enjoy the nerdy goodness.

This is just too awesome, haha. If and when I have kids I'm definitely going to incorporate this idea into his/her room. Very cute and well done!

Cool!  I'm due in May too and I've got a Super Mario theme for my little boy's room!  Yeah...I know how you feel when you say you're going to have to make everything for his room because there just aren't a lot of Super Mario stuff that's readily available.  I've had to make everything Mario for his room so far...I've made him a Mushroom lamp so far with my paint set and a small lamp from the thrift store, and I'm working on doing his wall decorations--it'll be a short little mural that'll look like a level, but all the pieces will be made of felt and hung with Velcro.  That's a LOT of sewing because the felt pieces all have batting inside of them to plump em out.   It really stinks there aren't more Mario things out there for kids' rooms besides the decals.  I would buy that stuff for me and my hubby too!

Great job!!
