What a cute snail!  Cheesy How do you feed it, does it need its own cage and stuff?
He lives in a glass tank with compost and a heat mat. He eats vegtables like lettuce, his favorite is cuecumber. He also eats cuttlefish for the calcium so he can grow his lovely shell. He is currently trying to re-arrange his tank...

I... I'm in love... with a snail... Tarquin is cute!  And he looks very dapper in his shell warmer.  I love the first pic, he is obviously confused about what the food lady has done now.  Cheesy

He's too sexy for his hat.  Too sexy for his hat.  He's too sexy for his shell...

This is adorable.  The snail is a show-stopper.  The hat is meticulously detailed and a beautiful work of art.  I love it!

Very unique!  I've never seen a pet snail either, where did you find one?  The body warmer looks very snug and cozy  Smiley

bahahahahaa awesomesauce. This weirded me right out at first, which is always a good sign. Tarquin is one lucky snail! His name isn't by any chance influenced by the Tarquin kings, is it?

By the way, is the hat small enough to enter in the tiny challenge?

first off ... The hat is awsome, the colors and the style....

and second......I just spent 30min. reading about and looking at pictures at GALS (Giant African Land Snails).... kinda weird for me since I had never heard of them before..(illegal in the US).. but they are sorta neato...and they can grow up to 10-15 inches...wow, thats a big snail......I guess a boy in Miami brought some into the US, and after they got too big his grandmother let them go in the garden.... well needless to say there were thousands of them in a very short time.... cost the government hundreds of thousands of $ to get them under control and back to where they belonged......

That old saying ""you learn something new every day".... well there was mine.....

Thanks..... and what a spoiled snail.... to have a hat/bodysuite......

How big is Tarquin?

Aww he's so popular, I found him on Gum tree (free advertising site) a girl in my city went on holliday and when she came back she had 150 snails to deal with. I picked the name Tarquin because I thought it sounded like a mummys boy name, lol. His shell is currently 5 inches long and he's got alot of growing still to do. He has a boyfriend called Wilbur and they are gonna have a date soon and make some babies so our friends can have snails aswell. They are hermaphrodites so they have both bits but need each other for fertilisation.

That is AMAZING! Cheesy

I have a snail too and he'd never stand for hat wearing...he's quite badly behaved!

He does want to say 'hi' to Tarquin though Smiley  (his name is Fluffy)
