Ohmygosh everything in here is incredible! That Frida necklace is precious, but it's so hard to pick a favorite because everything in here is so kitschy and creative! Can't wait to see the rest!

Psst.. here's a secret. Your last mortal thought will be, "Why did I take so many days- just like today- for granted?"

trampycouture- I'm so happy you like everything! The realistic Frida on the necklace is actually from a collection of stickers I have of her artwork. The wings were cut off of a fly stickers I had and the rest of the paper was taken from the Crafty Chica collage pack.

ok, I love the freida khalo necklace. love.

pantsafari, how did tou make that frame? I LOVE Java Monsters and I've been wanting to do something crafty with the cans.

Its a pretty simple concept, its just really time consuming.
heres my step by step...
1) drink 2-3 canned beverages of your choice ( I use three cans if its 12oz, two if its a larger can)
2)buy a wooden frame ( I use one with 2' of frame all around) And paint it some color
3) mark a grid on your frame ( I do a 1" grid) this is important becuase the frame may or may not be exact in its measurements, so the grid keeps things even.
4) cut open your cans using tin snips or kitchen shears
5) cut cans into squares (1" in this case) (and I also use a quilters ruler and an exacto knife to score the can and then bend it on the score line to "cut")
6)put a few strips of double sided tape down on the frame to hold can peices in place
7) one square at a time and using your grid, hammer down all four corners using ity bitty nails.  cut can squares as needed to fit your grid.
Cool grind down any nails poking through the back with a dremel.

The never ending quest for pants continues...

I received from TransAtlanticism!!!  Grin

First she painted me this amazing, matryoshka themed pic:

And then these extras! The bleeding heart is in the frame, a shrine and a maraca!

Thank you so much, I love everything!

I will be out of town June 11-20 with limited computer access. (Be patient with me, I'm on the beach!)

I received my AMAZING package from trampycouture!

She pmed me and asked me to take extra photos of the "large item"- they are all so detailed and well done they all should count as larges! I have craft shame that I didn't send more

Her stitches are so even, delicate and tiny!

I received a travel blanket, two towels, and a Virgin de Guadalupe embroidery stretched on a mini canvas

trampycouture- I will be taking some photos tomorrow to show the size and scale better tomorrow =)

Thank you so much!
