So to continue with the whole Victorian theme, I took an Altoid Smalls box and made it into a stitch marker box to go in my Victorian knitting kit.  I haven't really worked with polymer clay before, and this is my best effort at doing a "faux wood". Don't laugh, I suck at polymer clay.  I think it's adorable though, and I'm totally thrilled with it.  Here's the pics! You can see the decoupage hadn't dried all the way on the inside, but I was excited and wanted to take pictures.

Comments and criticism always welcome, I could use some good tips for working with polymer clay.  Fun, but HARD! The knitting kit it goes into

It is adorable & so tiny!
I am pretty new with polymer clay as well.  I dont worry about "proper techniques" - its ART! Have fun with it!
It looks great.

This is gorgeous, you did a great job!  And I agree, don't knock your skills!  Achieving a wood grainy look is really tricky no matter what the medium or level of experience.  It's really cute, and goes well with the kit!  It rocks, in my opinion.
