I haven't been up to much sewing lately because I was working a lot and then I went on a well deserved holiday. But all good things come to an end and then it's all back to work again. I finally finished some dresses today. I only have pictures of them on the mannequin for now.
The skirt was supposed to be a dress like the other two but I messed up the back of the bodice. I wanted to make a buttoned up version of the dress but my sewing machine let me down a bit. I might fix it into a top when I can be asked to alter it but for now it's the skirt only. I was inspired by watching endless episodes of Mad Men. I haven't got a TV so I didn't find out about the show until recently which meant a lot of catching up.
Anyhoo, enough of the blah, here are the pictures.

I love this dress. The appliques were originally a vintage curtain. I thought they are much more fun on a dress although they are a bit creepy.

I know this looks a bit wonky in the picture but it's just how the skirt is sitting on the mannequin.
Thanks for your time
I finally got some shots of them on a body. Hope you like.
