Here is my newest project that I have been working on for some time. I have just became a girl scout leader and I was needing to come up with the perfect plushie girl scout. I decided to make something that you just cant look at without laughing. I think I accomplished that  Grin This little girl scout has 3 eyes, 1 pointy tooth, and big lipped smile, and is over 2 foot tall. She is light gray/purple and has red, green, orange and blue stripes. Like my other crochet monsters her mouth is good to hide stuff in or in my case stash those girl scout fun patches! I of course had to make her a girl scout tunic. I am not very happy with the way it turned out. The seems are not as clean as I wish they were. I have a brand new sewing/embroidery machine and I cannot find the time to figure out how to use it Sad I was wanting to get it done in an hours time so I pulled out the old machine that I have been using for the last 10 years. Probably not the best idea! But she is done.
The girls in the troop love her! At our last meeting they named her cutie pie. And I do have to say with all the pulling and fighting they did over her she is very very durable!

Here is the link to a monster I did for a craftster swap

No you don't have to have kids to be GS Leader. My oldest is in girl scouts and when my youngest got old enough to join I couldn't fine her a troop. So I decided to do it. I have came across leaders that are grandmothers, aunts, and just women that want to help in the community. It is a lot of fun. If you get a chance you should check it out. I know they have a hard time finding people that want to be leaders here.
