So I wanted to start off my post by saying today was the most exciting day ever to open the mail! FIRST I GOT MY PAGES FROM MY PARTNER, and...and...and... I GOT A BIG FAT CHECK FROM A GUY WHO REAR-ENDED MY POS OF A CAR THAT I'M NOT GOING TO FIX!

Thank you sooo much crafty_one!

Thanks Smiley. I had trouble parting with the top one, my partner also wanted to keep it too, so I have to make another according to him to hang in our house lol.
I have to say the image on the top one wasn't made by me, it was something I have had for ages but never used, it just seemed to go well with the whole theme of the page.

I received my pages from gala_apples and they are just perfect! Two of them are two-sided, so I actually got five pages! Lucky me!

Text reads: Sometimes I think I would quite like to drown
The background of the page is awesome: it's kinda leathery, but also the stripes are glitter. Glllliiittteeerrrrrr....*drool*. Did you make the glitter lines yourself, Gala? Because if so- wow! (and even if not- wow!) Also I am sorry for the glittification of your house. But I love it so!

Day and night page
Day side:

Pretty!
Night side:

The text reads:
fall into the deep darkness

the dizziness

listen to the mad ravings
of things that slither

watch the sky fade to black

the world into nothingness

question the sanity of midnight

I love this page most of all! The black is strips of paper. It is just so gorgeous. It makes me think of Christopher Carrion.

Earth and sky page
Earth side:

It has this adobe-like stuff painted on it. So awesome! (and it survived just fine!)
Sky side:

This didn't scan so well, but I'm going to try to photograph it and see if I get better results. It is black with white paint flecks and says: Do you see what I see
I love it too!

gala_apples did such an awesome job; she picked up well on my themes and on things I like (texture and text in art!), but I feel like these are a pretty good representation of her too, which is exactly what I wanted.

i did not do the glitter lines, there's a joke at my house that i am incapable of drawing a straight line, my dad always used to help me with projects. i saw the paper and immediately thought of oceans, so i had to go with that. the striped night was my first idea, it was also the longest to make, considering all the layers of glue. that's the first poem i've written since my emo junior high days, i hope it's not too lame.

i'm sorry the starry night page came out so poorly, it was my first time working in glitter glue and i wasn't expecting it to spread so far as it dried.

and the earth page is sand and gravel mixed with paint. i'm glad it didn't fall apart as it went through the mail. thanks for being a great partner!

I'm not attached to your world, nothing heals, nothing grows... we used to love ourselves, we used to love one another.

life is no cabaret- we don't care what you say, we're inviting you anyway, you mf'ers, you'll sing someday!
